Little kittens need to have access to food and water at all times. It is good to give them small amount of soft food twice daily as long as they don’t have diarrhea.

Small kittens can get sick easily as many of them are orphans and it takes time for them to build up their immunity. As long as your kitten is eating and drinking well you don’t need to worry.

If the kitten is not eating or drinking, it can get dehydrated and go downhill over night. So please keep close eye on your kitten.
