I am writing this letter of reference for Ros Scheving and her non-profit adoption organization, Here, Kitty, Kitty.

I am a full time veterinarian at Central Animal Hospital on Pinellas Point and a part-time veterinarian at the Animal Emergency Clinic of Countryside. It is in the capacity of the Animal Emergency Clinic that I became acquainted with Ros and her involvement in rescuing and placing stray cats as well as dogs. During the 4 years I have worked with Ros, I have performed many cat neuters and cat spays for her. I have received compensation from Here, Kitty, Kitty for the majority of the procedures performed. Ros continually seeks my medical advice when she raises sick orphans or cares for abandoned pets. She is a skilled technician and quickly recognizes early signs of illness in her rescues.

Ros is an exceptional person and is very devoted to preserving animal life. Her genuine love for animals is apparent in everything she does. She is the first person to plead for an animal's life when injured or sick. I have heard numerous stories of her catching stray animals at all hours and finding their owners or placing them in appropriate homes or facilities. She cares more about placing an animal in the right, loving, long-term home than just placing the pet to free up space in an overcrowded rescue situation. I feel this is one her most aspiring assets. It amazes me to see the burdens she continually takes on with only the animal's best interest in mind.
